Erratics gathers paintings built around the shape of the glacial erratic — large boulders carried across a landscape by ice and left standing in unfamiliar terrain. Unlike Migrating Boulders or Movements Measured, which belong to specific shows and moments, this is an ongoing, open collection: any painting where the erratic form is the central subject, made across different periods and returned to whenever the shape calls for it again.
